All REU students accepted into this program will be provided:

• A $3,000 stipend (10-weeks at $300/week).
  
  
• Shared housing in university residence halls. REU students located at Southern will be provided a 7-day meal plan. REU students at Michigan Tech will not be provided meals. However, communal cooking facilities are available and students can purchase a meal plan (e.g., a 19-meal plan at Michigan Tech will cost $89/week). At Michigan Tech, a refrigerator may also be rented at a cost of $5/room per week or $26 maximum for the summer, whichever works out to be the least.

• A travel supplement to travel to the REU site that does not exceed $500.
  
  

• Admittance to university health facilities and access to university library and computer system.
